pre-procedure

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT... 🤍

We always prioritize SKIN INTEGRITY above all throughout our procedures.
Please read and comply with what's advised below for minimal irritation and optimal healing.

FOR ALL PROCEDURES:

  • Stop using any skin thinners (Vitamin A, glycolic acids, Retinols, chemical exfoliants) on the areas we will be working on for 2 weeks prior to your appointment. This includes the forehead and temple areas if doing brows.
  • DO NOT consume ANY alcohol or take any blood thinners (Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Niacin, Vitamin E or Fish Oils) for 24, ideally 48 hours before your procedure, this will promote excess bleeding and may affect your results. Even a glass of wine or a beer can affect your results. *Please put an alarm on your phone if necessary*.
  • We suggest washing your hair before / the day of your appointment, as long showers are not recommended during the initial healing period.
  • Feel free to bring reference photos if you like, or your favorite makeup!
  • You may experience hypersensitivity and more pain around / during your menstrual cycle. Our anaesthetics are highly effective, but please bring extra-strength Tylenol for the beginning of your appointment if you suspect you may be extra sensitive.
  • The same sensitivity factor applies to very dry skin, so please ensure your skin in the area we will be working on is moisturized in the week prior. Do not book your appointment at a time that your face is heavily tanned as the skin will be more sensitive.
  • Please note that we will not be able to tattoo over any blemishes, sores, or moles without a doctor's note.

For lips, specifically...

  • If you are prone to Cold Sores and are getting a Lip Blush, you MUST take prescription medication such as Valtrex for 4 days before and 3 days following your appointment. You might break out otherwise, and this would also compromise your healing.
  • Please come to your appointment as hydrated as possible. Hydrated lips are easier and less painful to work on!
  • It is recommended to hydrate your lips from the outside as well. We recommend using hydrating lip masks or Aquaphor in the 3-7 days leading up to your appointment, as well as the day of.
  • Feel free to bring reference photos if you like, or your favorite lipsticks!

for eyeliner, specifically...

  • Eyeliner appointments will require that you remove all false lashes a minimum of 1 week prior to your appointment.
  • Please come to your appointment without contacts as you will need to remove them.
  • Discontinue use of lash serums for 2 weeks prior.
  • Any lifting or tinting should be done 1 week before.
  • If you have sensitive skin, it is recommended to use a heavy moisturizer on your under eyes for a few days leading up to your appointment.
  • Please try to attend your appointment without eye shadow, mascara, or other heavy makeup on.
