Dear Beloved Rouge Ink Clientele + Community,
We hope this message finds you well, cozy and having had some fresh air too!
During difficult times, we know it’s important to connect with one another, offer support where we can, and most importantly, take care of ourselves.
We are told we should be washing our hands and covering our sneezes. Wiping common surfaces regularly and avoiding close contact.
But what about our mental hygiene?
This is something that is often overlooked in our society… mental and emotional well-being.
These are facets of humanity that are just as important as the physical, and things we should treat with just as much awareness.

Tips for anchoring ourselves into the current moment:
1.
Gratitude is SO POWERFUL.
By focusing on the things we DO have, we step back into our power. This is a timeless and proven practice that can TRANSFORM your physiology for the better, thus affecting how we show up in the rest of our lives more positively.
Rojin wrote an article on Medium.com going into detail on this subject if you’d like to learn more about how to apply this in your daily life!
2.
Meditation, deep breathing practices, and yoga.
Going into the stillness within and finding calm is so underrated! A great app for mediation is Calm, where you can start with even just 5 minutes a day. There are some amazing free Youtube videos for beginners yoga too. Try starting your morning with this one or something similar!
3.
Exercise of any kind.
Stagnant energy tends to fester, and we need to stay healthy. There are LOTS of free home workouts available right now. One of our favorites is Choose My Hustle which offers both yoga as well as HIIT workouts! They currently have a 2-week trial!
4.
You can never have too much education!
Here are over 450 FREE online courses from Ivy League schools all over the world! What a great time to learn something new or fun!
5.
Remind yourself, “this too shall pass”.
Try to do things around the house you’ve been wanting to do, taking an online course, or simply relaxing with loved ones! And remember, with great hardship comes great opportunities for innovation.
Knowing that nothing in life is permanent, we can take solace in the fact that we DO have power at THIS moment to make the most of our situation. There is a lot of ambiguity at the moment when it comes to what the future holds, but there is a certain sense of unity among us that is unprecedented. What is always guaranteed is that “this too shall pass”.
